A LIVE-STREAMED INTERVIEW SHOW FEATURING THE WORLD’S GREATEST MUSICIANS

Featuring live interviews with musicians of all genres, Backstory Events hosts interview events that are live streamed from New York City. Launched in 2015, the series is now distributed through multiple media partners, including Parade and Guitar World, each perfectly matched for the most receptive audience.

Founded by music industry veterans and journalists, Brad Tolinski and Laura B. Brad Tolinski — Best known as the editor in chief of Guitar World Magazine for 25 years, Tolinski is a respected journalist and the author of Play It Loud: An Epic History of the Style, Sound, and Revolution of the Electric Guitar and Light and Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page. Throughout his career, Tolinski has skillfully interviewed hundreds of musicians and plays guitar, violin and mandolin himself.

Laura B. Whitmore — Music Industry veteran Laura B. Whitmore owns and runs Mad Sun Marketing, a boutique agency that specializes in marketing, PR, artist relations, event production, graphic design, and more for music and audio companies. A singer-songwriter herself, Whitmore is the founder of the Women’s International Music Network (thewimn.com) and is the host and producer of the annual She Rocks Awards at the January NAMM Show. She is the music contributor for Parade.com
